Teresa comes to Singapore from Vancouver, Canada where she presented news both locally and nationally for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She also filed “live”, daily reports on a national, prime time programme often covering stories from the Asia Pacific for western audiences.
Prior to that, she worked in China as a reporter for China Central Television and Blue Ocean Network based in Beijing. Among the array of assignments that Teresa covered are the handover of power to Xi Jinping in 2012, the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010, and the Causeway Scrabble Championship in Malaysia in 2008.
Teresa earned a master’s degree in Global Politics from the London School of Economics. She also attended Simon Fraser University and the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver. She speaks Mandarin and the Fuzhou dialect.
She is an avid yogi, and as a hobby, collects Barbie dolls of which she has over 100 to date.
